Do I need an account?
No. Caglio has no account and no sign-in. Everything you enter is stored only on your device.
Where does my data go if I reinstall the app?
Caglio has no server, so nothing is backed up automatically. If you use iCloud or a local backup for your device, your app data is restored along with everything else. Deleting the app removes its data.
How does the rennet dose or flocculation timer work?
The Make screen derives a rennet dose per 10 L from the style card and the strength you enter for your rennet, and you can edit that number at any time. The flocculation step multiplies the time you tap out by the style's multiplier to estimate the full setting time — it's a traditional starting point, not a guarantee, and every batch is a little different.
Why does the app ask for the camera or my photos?
Only when you choose to add a stage photo to a wheel's record. Caglio asks for the camera to take a new photo, and uses Apple's system picker to let you choose an existing one — it never has access to your library beyond the single photo you pick.
Does Caglio give food-safety advice?
No. Caglio is a maker's logbook, not a food-safety authority. Always follow your milk supplier's guidance and your local food-safety rules.
