The short version
Caglio does not collect any data. There is no account, no backend server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Every wheel, make sheet, cave reading, style card, tasting note, photo and setting you create lives only in local storage on your own device.
What Caglio stores, and where
Caglio keeps a small SQLite database in the app's Application Support folder for your wheels, batch sheets, cave readings, style cards, tasting notes and settings. Stage photos you take or choose are stored as image files in the app's own Documents folder. None of this ever leaves your device automatically — nothing is uploaded, synced or transmitted anywhere.
This data is removed when you delete the app, or when you use "Reset to the sample cellar" in Settings.

Permissions, and when they're asked for
- Camera — requested only when you tap "Take Photo" while adding a stage photo to a wheel. Used solely to capture that photo; Caglio never accesses the camera in the background.
- Photo library — Caglio uses Apple's system photo picker (PHPickerViewController) to let you choose an existing photo for a wheel. This picker runs outside the app's process, so Caglio never receives library-wide access or a list of your photos — only the single image you pick.
- Notifications — requested only if you turn on the optional daily cave reminder or a step-timer alert in Settings. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device; no push service or server is involved.
Sharing
If you use the share button on a wheel or make sheet, Caglio hands the text/image to Apple's standard system share sheet. What happens after that is entirely up to the destination app or service you pick (Messages, Mail, saving to Files, etc.) — Caglio itself does not send anything anywhere on its own.
Children's privacy
Caglio is a general-audience utility with no data collection of any kind, so no personal information is collected from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of Caglio adds an optional online feature — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continuing to use Caglio after an update means you accept the revised policy.
